| Sept. 6 | Nate Adams is off to Gravity Games! Good luck Nate August 26 | Chris Kendall breaks wrist during a freak accident resulting in surgery to repair some torn tendons and broken bones. I will update as soon as I have accurate information. August 21 | Nate Adams was at X this week. While political wars kept him from Moto X, he did manage to qualify for the Step Up and Big Air. In Big Air, Nate pulled his best trick first, a Tusuami, and the judges scored him in 12th place. In his second trick, Nate pulled a two handed Hart Attack Look Back, fully extended like his first trick, and was scored lower than his first trick. For his third trick, Nate took notes and found combinations were bringing in the biggest scores (which has never been the case before) so he tried the same combination that had Kenny Bartram in first place, a Shaolin to Sterilizer but fell down upon landing. He scored a higher score for falling down on this trick than for either of his first 2 tricks. Makes one wonder, doesn't it? Oh well, there is always Gravity Games and next year. August 10-11 | Hessian Aggression riders tore up Vegas the weekend of August 10th and 11th for round 1 of the Vans Triple Crown (VTC). All 4 original hessianaggression.com riders qualified for the ultra competitive series. Chris Kendall has only competed in a few selected events during the 2001 winter series and did not qualify for this event. The 3 three round series will wrap up in November and all events will be on NBC and Fox Sports starting on September 2nd. Robert struggled with the course, just as he did last year. The tight course made whips and variations of whips tough and dangerous. Despite his dislike of the situation, he sucked it up and gave it his best knowing the next round will be in a very big arena in Tacoma Washington. Jeff pulled his biggest tricks including his newest, a no footed can seat grab, and had the best cordova all weekend. He was pleased with his score as this is his first VTC. John pulled his best runs during this, his third VTC. (he was top rookie in 1999) John pulled out the stops and laid out the biggest tricks in the sport but the trick that would have put him in the main, a kiss of death, came a few seconds late. He was very pleased to walk away because on Friday, in the Main, he landed sideways from a 90 degree nac. He saved it, to everyone's surprise and continued the rest of his run. Nate is the hottest FMX competitor in the world. His back to back wins in Phoenix was topped with a win on Saturday night. He rides so clean and safe, if there is such a thing as safe in this sport! Nates tricks were so extended it woke up vegas like no other rider. Dustin had a chance to knock Nate off the hot seat as he was the highest qualifier but it was not to be. Dustin does such sick tricks and combinations like a no footed can with a hand crossover that finds his right hand on the left grip and the rest of his body to the side of the bike. I think his runs are too technical for the sport at this time but he should keep it the same, the sport will catch up with him. Dustin landed a little long and not able to grab the brakes in time and went into the tunnel only to lay the bike down before it hit the dozer at the far end. Nate went wild, knowing Dustin could not dethrone him as he lost too much time getting the bike back out. Nate took home some bank, something that usually doesn't happen in Las Vegas. Nate topped the likes of Mike Jones, Tommy Clowers, Clifford Adoptante, Jake Windham, Kenny Bartram, Trevor Vines and Dustin Miller in the main. Click here for the final scores. August 3 & 4 | Hessian Aggression riders were on fire in the Phoenix round of the IFMA Series held August 3rd and 4th in front of their hometown crowd. Nate Adams won first place both nights. John Distler took home a 5th and 6th but the surprise of the weekend was Robert Distler placing 8th and 7th in his return back to competition after his trachea injury only 3 months ago. Jeff Doetzer had some good qualifying runs but could not make the main in this ultra competitive series and took home a 10th and 13th place. New Hessian Aggression.com rider Chris Kendall had to settle with a 17th on both nights due to a super sick Helicopter that caused his right shoulder to pop out of socket. This put him out for the remainder of the night on Friday but he came back on Saturday night but decided to put on a show and not chance another dislocated shoulder. Nate Adams and Jake Windham put in their best runs of their careers in the mains both nights but Nate came out on top by pulling his tricks with better execution. Nates final run on Saturday was so impressive that he still scored higher with a full dead sailor. This is Nates 4th IFMA win in the 2001 season. John has learned several new tricks this summer on the Extreme Moto-Music Madness Tour. His speed on the course has picked up a lot and the extension on tricks, old and new, is polished. Robert was the crowd pleaser both nights. Lil Dis rides to the AC/DC song TNT-Dynamite and he knows how to work the crowd into a frenzy. He threw out the sickest whips and whipped tricks and even qualified for the main in the first round on Friday night. Welcome back Robert! Nate Adams has qualified for the Summer X games after 4 astounding days of qualifying. The last time Nate competed in an X Qualifier was in March, 2000. He came home with a personally dissatisfying 17th place. What a difference competing in the IFMA series has made as Nate caught almost everyone by surprise. He is in the Big Air, Step Up and Freestyle competitions. Nate currently sits in second place in the ultra competitive IFMA series, only 73 points behind the leader, Dustin Miller. Dustin has 8 wins in the IFMA series to Nate's 2 wins. Dustin has back to back wins in Salt Lake in the first two qualifiers for X-Games for 2001. July |

John Distler is on an 83 day tour of US, cutting back and fourth across the country several times in all directions as one of 10 FMX riders on the Extreme Moto-Music Madness Tour put on by Mark Burnett. Some of the other riders on this tour are Tommy Clowers, Kenny Bartram, Jeremy Carter, Kris Garwasiuk, Shawn Highland, Doug Parsons, Dan Pastor and Caleb Wyatt. Others making single events or part of the series due to scheduling conflicts include Nate Adams, Trevor Vines, just to name a few. John is having a blast traveling with the other riders in two motorhomes and sleeping in different hotels in different cities almost every night. They will be putting on up to 43 shows during this time. July |
The Hessian Aggression Riders have been invited for the second year in a row as the only riders to do a FMX show in Iowa. The weekend will be less Nate Adams due to a Gravity Games date conflict. These riders will board a private jet, ride in a limousine, stay in the nicest hotel in the area and, in general, be treated like the celebrities that they are. At last years event, the bulk of the spectators were in awe, having not seen such antics on a motorcycle ever. Well, keep in mind that most were there for poker run during a Harley weekend. This will take place on September 8th and 9th. |
